All provided MIDP versions have the draft status. Most likely the
situation will not be changed since the following reasons:
- MIDP devices are looking archaic. More and more PDAs supports
J2ME Personal Profile.
- The MIDP LwVCL development needs more time and resources than other
LwVCL versions (J2SE, SWT, .NET).
- The provided standard MIDP API is restricted and sometimes is not customizable
enough.
- The customers activity is low in respect of MIDP LwVCL usage.
So, the MIDP LwVCL development is considered as the testing of
the LwVCL features like resource usage, performance and abstraction.
Feel free to use any MIDP LwVCL (draft) versions as you want.
