The more usual, more frequent and more evident ways are the following:

  • You can download our library and use it under the GPL license.

  • You can download our library and buy commercial license for your products.

  • You can request of me to develop additional lightweight components, applications, applets and the like.

Everything listed above is important. I will be happy if our solutions can be useful to you, independently from GPL or commercial license usage. But there are more serious reasons to interact with me. I feel the big prospects of the product for the following perspectives:

Propagate the LwVCL library to other platforms and languages!
The situation with various GUI libraries is like a mess. In some cases, a provided components set is not enough, sometimes a GUI library is too "heavy" regarding system resources or performance issues and so on. The other big problem is the differences between the libraries concerning its API and concepts. So having a new library means studying and training before real usage.

LwVCL unifies API and architecture so that it can be easily adapted to other languages and platforms. I have already proved it. I have J2SE LwVCL, J2ME LwVCL, SWT and .NET LwVCL. Most likely I will not notice differences between, for example, the .NET and J2SE and SWT LwVCL versions during the development! Moreover, I have the Embedded LwVCL version (created based on Java 1.0) that doesn't need Java installed on your computer, regardless of that it can be hold on one floppy disk (the full package including JVM 1.0 is 720 Kb in ZIP archive)!

So I can help you to adopt the library to be used for languages and platforms (for example you have specific hardware) where you are interesting to have powerful GUI.

LwVCL library is a very good solution for PDAs. The challenge to deliver a rich and flexible UI for PDA devices can be easily met with LwVCL. The LwVCL delivers the richest component set with a familiar development environment. I provide the J2ME Personal Profile (Personal Java) and J2ME MIDP LwVCL versions. If you need to have the library for the special devices and environments, as it has been described before, the library can be adopted according to your needs.

I can help you to develop applications and GUI for your PDA-oriented projects. The lack of software as well as lack of a powerful GUI library for small devices makes the area very attractive!

Internet services creation. Internet service is a remote application or applet that is available for different clients via Internet. In this case, Internet is considered as a set of available services, for example, text editor service that can be used by everybody from everywhere to edit a text. IBM and other big companies work hard to force and promote the new tendency. The weakest point of the new concept is UI that can be provided by WEB, basing on HTML. Actually, the HTML is out of modern needs. Nobody forbids a Java applet (or Java Application using WebStart). Java applets have been among the first remote applications available via the WEB. But Java cannot provide a proper GUI (firstly, it was too simple - Java AWT, than Java SWING was found too "heavy"). I have a ready-to-use solution - LwVCL - that can help everybody influence on the new tendency due to the following reasons:

  • LwVCL is tiny - core is ~ 160 Kb in JAR file.

  • LwVCL doesn't need Java Plug-in, it works perfect for Java 1.1.

  • LwVCL provides reach set of UI components (~ 30 UI components including grid, tree grid, tree and the like).

Many companies want to provide their solutions though Internet as Internet Services. I can help realize these ideas.

And so on ...
